Why loose the heat/defrost
capability of your 911? Porsche® did a great job of improving the heat and
ventilation system in 1984, and again in 1986. So why lose heater performance
while gaining engine performance? You don’t have to. Read
the article by in PCA's Porsche Panorama by Bruce Anderson.
When installing SSI Headers on your 1984-1989 Carrera you loose the ability to
"feed" fresh air into the heat exchangers. Without this forced air the
heat and defroster will be lethargic or not at all. To solve this problem,
simply remove the stock, stainless steel heater cross over tube, pictured above,
steam clean off any oil or undercoat and send it along with a check in the
amount of $180.00 to:
Bodymotion, Inc., 21 Cindy Lane, Ocean, NJ 07712.
This will
cover the modifications and return freight. Installation instructions are
included. The only additional materials needed are 30" of 60mm fresh air
tubing to attach the cross over to the heat exchanger. If you need the tubing,
we will supply it for an additional $20.00.
