In the past year, my
Boxster S has seen a lot of PCA track days – at Lime Rock,
Pocono, Watkins Glen, and NHIS – with still more scheduled this
season including Summit Point and Shenandoah. Recently, I also started entering Autocross events and have
had good results in my rookie class so far.
Since the time when I had
my ’88 Carrera Cabriolet, I’ve trusted Bodymotion with my car
and always receive expert service.
The entire staff is very friendly and professional.
Mike will take the time to talk with me and it’s that
personal touch that makes the difference.
While talking with Mike
earlier this year, he noticed how my front tires were wearing. At
the rate I was going, he warned there was a very real possibility
the tires could chunk and be ruined prematurely.
He knew that more negative camber would help the car turn
in better and conserve the tires.
I had the alignment done on the next visit and was glad I
did. Everything he
said was spot on. Even
with stock springing, the car handles better with less understeer
at the limit. While
walking through the paddock at a DE event, I saw another ’05
Boxster S and took a closer look.
I was amazed to see that the front tires had some serious
chunking. The owner
would need new tires immediately while my original set were
holding up well, considering the hard track miles it was seeing.
If not for the advise I got that day at the shop, I would
probably have destroyed my tires long ago.
This is the kind of
service you get at Bodymotion. You
won’t find this level of experience and knowledge just anywhere.
Mike gets to know each customer and what their driving
needs are. As a racer, he’s able to suggest what will work best for
your car without pushing to sell you stuff you don’t need.
