Dean
Makkos, 33, lives in Princeton, New Jersey with his wife and daughter.
He is the proud owner of a 1998 BMW M3, which he has owned for four
months and is primarily a daily driver.
The bug bit Dean hard and Bodymotion was chosen to
doctor the situation. Bodymotion
eliminated the “breathing restriction” by installing a Dinan supercharger.
The installation is intricate and flawless, the car is an absolute
“rabid beast”, $6,995.00 + installation.
Bodymotion finished off the engine compartment with a Dinan strut tower
brace, $399.00 + installation. “Exhale”
restriction was handled by installing a fully stainless cat back twin tipped
exhaust, $990.00 installed. Improving
handling, always being a must, Bodymotion installed lowering springs and
adjustable swaybars, front and rear, $1,400.00 complete.
Bridgestone Potenza SO-2 pole positions were chosen to glue the car to
the road! 235/45/17’s steer,
while 255/40/17’s battle it out with the blacktop in the rear, $1,200.00
installed. A 3:38 to 1 R/P with 60%
posi-lock differential was installed to allow “optimum traction and
acceleration” always a dramatic improvement when improving acceleration by
10-15%, $2,200.00 installed. The
rear end is simply the best bolt on way possible to improve both the
acceleration and traction. It
literally will “spit” you out of a corner!
Bodymotion installed a motorsport short throw shift kit for a good
measure of precise “H pattern abuse” the car loves it, $495.00 installed. With the vehicle well on its way to being Dean’s expression
of what an M3 should be, Bodymotion installed a complete Euro-white turn signal
light kit, $595.00 installed, amazing!
Dean’s future plans
are to install a Schrick intake manifold and high performance clutch kit with
aluminum flywheel! Dean’s
immediate plan is to enjoy the car, as he says, “the car is amazing to
drive”.
