Alpha
Nickelberry, 47, lives in
Rockaway, New Jersey with his wife and two children. Alpha is a member of the Northern New Jersey Region of
the Porsche Club of America. He
currently owns a 1999 Porsche 996, which he has owned for two years along with a
1978 Porsche 911SC, which he has owned for one year.
In 1999 Alpha was NNJR’s Rookie of the Year.
Although Alpha has a 996, which he enjoys driving to
and from and at the track, he wanted a car he could slide around.
He purchased a 1978 Porsche 911 SC 3.0 Coupe.
The car had been built in 1983 for another track enthusiast.
The car has very stiff torsion bars,
Delrin bushings, is lowered and has carbon brakes.
In December 1999 Alpha purchased a “turbo” body kit from Jim Sentivan
of Old Bridge Tire. Jim’s car is
currently being rebodied as a 993 here at Bodymotion.
Installation of the fat fenders and rear wing needed a wider wheel, Fikse
FM-10 17”X9” and 17” X 11” with Hoosiers make for a great package.
