Roll Cage

Only the finest materials and components have been used in our BMR CS. This is not a hastily put together spec racer, but a fully built and engineered race car. Bodymotion prides itself on our craftsmanship and this can be seen throughout the vehicle. It starts with our safety cage that helps to stiffen the entire vehicle and provides the basis of the protection for both driver and passenger. This is the premier cage in the industry and is a true work of art, and features:

·     .120" wall 1¾"D.O.M. tubing.

·     T.I.G. welded and fully gusseted

·     NASCAR style basket on the driver's side.

It also includes a quick release window net and all necessary S.F.I. padding.

Seats

We install OMP WRC and HTE seats in our Caymans. These seats have high profile side blosters which help keep both driver and passenger planted while on track. This is essential so that the driver is not moving around in their seat so they can focus on steering and their footwork. OMP is world renowned leader in racing technology and are a supplier for the factory Porsche Cup Cars ®. Their seats are FIA certified and feature fiberglass construction for strength and weight reduction. They are installed with OMP side mounts and sliders for ease of installation. For the driver we install the HTE seat, which is a halo seat. It features high profile side bolsters and is upholstered in lightly padded velour along with adjustable and removable seat back. The halo helps prevent extra movement and strain on the driver's head and neck while cornering as well as in the unlikely event of a crash. We install for the passenger the WRC seat which has the same construction and materials as the HTE in a non halo seat. Both seats have provisions for either 5 or 6 point harnesses. Should you choose to have your own car built you can spec your own seats as we have access to Recaro, Racetech, and Sparco as well.

Harnesses

Working in conjunction with the seats are the harnesses to help keep the driver firmly in the seat. We install OMP 806 HANS compatible harnesses in the CS. These are 6 point harnesses that feature 2/3" shoulder belts, 3'' lap belts, and 2" thigh belts with T attachment with cam lock closure system. The 2/3" shoulder straps provide more comfort and help with the use of a HANS device. The thigh belts, in the event of an accident, prevent "submarining" which is when you slide out from under the lap belts. All harnesses are attached using Grade 8 hardware and eyebolts and all attachments are secured with safety wire. These are a high quality harness which meets all FIA and SFI requirements. As with seats, should you have a preference of brand or company we can source and install them for you whether that be M&R, Schroth, Sparco, etc.

Steering Wheel

We remove the stock steering wheel and replace it with a light weight wheel and quick release hub. The new steering wheel is an OMP Velocitta unit, which is a flat steel unit covered in suede and features a yellow centering stripe. We also offer a dished wheel or a light weight version of the Velocitta. The new wheel is thicker and provides a better and less stressful grip for the driver, as they don't have to grip as hard. Also the suede covering allows for better grip than leather which can be greasy and slip through a driver's hands. We install a quick release hub to facilitate easier entry and exit from the vehicle. The quick release hub uses a short hub which keeps the wheel at its normal distance as opposed to some aftermarket wheels which move the steering wheel closer to the driver. The quick release itself is a sturdy ball lock design with raised sections to prevent stretching and is crafted out of aircraft quality aluminum. Our installation retains the factory height and telescopic adjustments for the steering wheel and clomun. Also, to comply with sanctioning body regulations we remove the anti-theft steering wheel lock mechanism.

Pedal Covers

Under racing and DE conditions a driver will often be very busy with his or her feet. Braking, shifting, downshifting, heel-toeing, and at some point hopefully accelerating out of the corners and on to the straights. To ensure that all these actions are precise and that the drivers feet don't slip off the pedals we install OMP pedal covers. These pedals are crafted out of aluminum and have a sandblasted finish and are slightly larger than stock to help with heel toe. They have a rough raised surface to provide extra grip instead of rubber  grips which many other pedal sets use. These are not a dress up item as some other pedal sets but are designed with nothing other than performance in mind.

Aluminum Foot Wells

To go along with the pedal covers and to help with a drivers foot work, we install aluminum foot wells with diamond plate floors. This helps prevent the driver's feet from possibly getting hung up on irregularities in the floor. It also prevents against damage to the actual floor of the vehicle which left unprotected can be dented and damaged from debris and drivers getting in and out.

Fire System

For safety and sanctioning body compliance we install a SPA mechanical fire suppression system. (Electrical systems are available at an extra cost, should that be desired) This system features a 4.0l bottle and internal and external actuators. We install 4 nozzles in the car, one in the driver's footwell, one over the main fuel cell, and two over the fuel injection rails. It is both S.F.I. and F.I.A. homologated and features SPA's "Lite" AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam).  SPA "Lite" AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam) is a non-toxic, ozone friendly, fire suppressant that offers the competitor the same level of protection as the pros use. This system offers very high value for dollar over other systems which use expensive bottle materials, all the while providing the same level of protection.

Carbon Dash Panel

We replace the upper center console radio/navigation unit with a light weight carbon fiber center dash. We install in this panel waterproof switches for the optional transmission coolant pump and traction control over ride, along with a pre-wired switch for any optional accessories. Also this panel can accommodate an optional in-car base radio.
